Building A Road Bike In Pictures #1 The Saddle

For the past couple of years, I’ve been mountain biking and road cycling on one saddle, Selle Italia’s SLR and the cheaper SLR XP. My butt’s been pretty happy on it but for the next road bike, I’m giving another model a try - Fizik’s Antares saddle. I found this saddle with carbon rails for a decent price when I was shopping for other goodies. It’s the same length (275 mm) as an SLR and a bit wider in the back, 142 mm versus 139 mm for an SLR. Claimed weight is 145 grams, I believe. The saddle has a nice black and white cover with silver lettering and is very well made. Hopefully, it’ll fit my sit bones.
