Early Afternoon Run

After we’ve had a bunch of snow, followed by a bunch of rain, trails were in no condition to ride. Instead, I grabbed my running shoes and headed out on my local forest trails for a quick loop through the woods. What greeted me there was what we Swiss call “Pflotsch”, lots of slush. Well, it was quite a workout. Not just to keep moving forward, but to stay upright. Each time one of my feet hit the ground, I never quite knew which side it would slip away. Great balancing exercise, and great to strengthen my ankles. I managed not to break them.
