Shimano introduces new 11-speed Alfine hub
Shimano’s Alfine hub get a major redesign, getting 11 speeds and an increase in gear range from previously 307% to 409%. To provide quiet and smooth gear changes as well as an increased life span, the hub receives an oil bath lubrication and helical gears. Some key specs:

- Gear jumps: 2 x 17% and 8 x 13%
- Weight: around 1600 grams
