An Afternoon Between Grays
Escaping the gray today required the willingness to battle wet, muddy and slushy trails. But escaping the gray was well worth it today. The scenery above the fog was absolutely amazing. Sun rays, clouds and a sky in many colors offered an amazing early afternoon spectacle.

Looking For A GPS Car Navigation System
I’m looking for a GPS car navigation system and think TomTom’s Go Live 1000 would be a decent unit. More than a solid collection of European maps isn’t needed. Anyone using it or have other recommendations?

Back Online After Some Downtime
Tumblr and therefore this blog were down for much of yesterday.
Yesterday afternoon, during planned maintenance that was not intended to interrupt service, an issue arose that took down a critical database cluster. This brought down our entire network while our engineers worked feverishly to restore these databases and bring your blogs back online.
