29ers Save Lives
Today I went out for a ride on my Niner and did a lot of single-tracks. Pictures will follow as soon as I have them up on Flickr. On one of the narrow downhills, I turned around a tree and for the first time ever I ran over a little forest friend - a squirrel. The poor thing let out a sound of pain. I immediately stopped and walked back, fearing that I killed the little guy. Well, the lucky...

Long Ride
A perfect day to head out for a long ride. Today my goal was to reach the Chasseral from Biel on my Niner SS. Armed with my Niner, dressed in shorts, my Provenance jersey and a pair of Shimano sandals, and fueled by a flask filled with honey and a single water bottle (plenty of refills on the way) I climbed up to Gaicht. EBB, Noise and Teflon Tape
My Niner One9 has been out on the trails almost daily and its EBB is telling me each time that I’m pushing a hard gear up those steep trails. Greased and tightened to spec - it creaks. Teflon tape with grease - it creaks. All cleaned and assembled with Teflon tape only - it still creaks. I wonder if a different position of the set-screws, like Crisp is doing it, would not create such noise....
